Well, we’ll certainly have record breaking price inflation. You don’t hand out government (taxpayers) money like free breath mints without hitting prices hard.
Silliness. Many jobs are never coming back. Lockdown has been ruinous for tens of millions. In PA we have lost 500 jobs for every death, and 33 jobs for each CASE.
Only if they had opened up two weeks ago. The continual foot-dragging is going to make this FAR worse than it would have been.

I’m optimistic: From a personal perspective, many of us have been holding back, waiting and hoping, saving, but when the green light appears I believe 2 months of holding back will erupt into a spending spree. Vacations, going out to eat, buying new clothes, that new lawn mower and garden stuff, perhaps a new car, on and on. I understand much of this sh@t is made in China, and that’s terrible, but money spent in US stimulates the entire US economy. Jobs open up, optimism abounds. I hope I’m correct.
CA wants the rest of us to bail out their gov slugs. I vote NO.

Lots of people will be out spending on things that have been postponed and that in itself will be an immediate boost!
Larger purchases will insure a longer lasting boost! :)

As for me, I went back to work 2 weeks ago tomorrow. Started off with just businesses, but we’ve been going into people’s homes as well. Our state requires full PPE on job sites, but we have been getting people telling us that they’re okay with us not wearing it.
My boss is convinced this whole thing was utter BS, and just an excuse for Demonrats to try to take out the President and try to control people’s lives.
We’re already getting people clamoring for us. (For the record, I install window blinds, shutters, shades and such. You’d be surprised at how many people who’ve been stuck inside for a while realize “Hey, I need to do something about these windows!”)
As for spending, my wife and I have set aside some money and plan to do some spending for some furniture after the stores open back up.

Their hatred of both President Trump AND the people who voted for him is so great, they will watch the country burn, if only they can rule over the ashes.
Scumbad Bill Mahr put the dem philosophy into perspective, when he effectively stated he hopes that the country implodes economically, since that would help remove President Trump from office. Besides, he has his, who cares about anyone else.
