PHOENIX — Gov. Doug Ducey on Tuesday announced Arizona’s “stay-at-home” executive order will be lifted after it expires Friday and that the state would enter the first phase of reopening.

Ducey pointed to a decrease in positive test result percentage, adequate hospital capacity and expanded testing numbers for reasons Arizona is ready to begin reopening.

“Today we get the chance to turn that dial a little bit more to the right to brighten Arizona’s economy and to bring back some of the energy that was lost due to this pandemic,” Ducey said during a press conference.

Where I am in AZ, everything is pretty much normal, except for a few exceptions. But I do enjoy watching our neighbors next door in CA being treated like 13 year olds on restriction. Yuk yuk...

Welcome to AZ

We spent last 10 years in CA searching the entire west for a place to bail out to. From Idaho, to WA, to Nevada, Oregon etc....After visiting here, our minds were made up.

“My best friends live in Prescott Valley, where abouts do you live it I may ask?”

In the Granville neighborhood, off of Santa Fe Loop Road. Your best friends should know where that is at.

I live in Tucson. We tried to drive up to the stronghold but turned backed when it turned into a dirt road. Hubby didn’t want to take a sedan on it. I love to go to Tombstone “the town too tough to die”

Our first time living here. We did our homework and chose higher elevation venue in AZ to avoid the extreme summer heat like they have in places like Palm Springs and Phoenix (low deserts). Last summer, our first summer here, it never once got over 94 degrees. Back in S. CA we would often get over 100 in summer. Can get a bit cold here in winter, and we had 2 snows about 4" each, and it was gone in 2 days or so. Nothing too extreme. Btw, I can't stand long snowy cold winters and why we avoided moving to the northwest. The older I get, the less we like the cold! ☺
