I saw big fat Teddy in Tortola, BVI at a marina restaurant about 19 years ago. He and wife #2 were with another couple at the table next to ours about 6’ away.
Let me just state he was not an attractive human specimen. He also could hardly walk. More or less hobbled. In addition, it appeared that he had just had some recent plastic surgery to reduce the size of his gin blossomed nose. There is a fancy clinic on the island that specializes in that. It caters to celebs.
Finally, he and his party left and they all got into a dingy to head out to their sailboat/yacht. Let me tell you the side of the rubber dingy he was on was practically underwater.
One more thing. I asked the waitress if that guy gave her a good tip? She said okay. So, I asked her if she knew who he was? She had no idea. She was a twenty something island girl. Nope she had no idea who Theodore M Kennedy was. She showed me the AMX receipt. I informed her that she had just waited on John F. Kennedy’s younger brother. The US senator from the Commonwealth.
