The Catholic Church is currently being run as a political organization. It now deals only with worldly things, never with divine aspiration.

First Lady Melania Trump is a practicing Catholic.
I have great admiration for the President and the First Lady. However, it would be difficult to describe her as a "practicing Catholic" if she is in an irregular marital situation.
Melania Trump never married before, but President Trump married twice. Ivana had been married already, so President Trump's marriage to her would be invalid. Marla Maples was raised in Georgia, and presently attends a Christian church, so she was likely baptized at the time of her marriage to Donald Trump. It would take some other impediment for that marriage to be declared null.
Assuming that Melania Trump decided to become a practicing Catholic after her wedding to Donald Trump, she would have to be able to have the marriage recognized, which means that President Trump's other marriages would have to be declared null. Justice Thomas was in a similar situation. I assume he (justice Thomas) got that rectified.
It would be very hard for the Trumps to pull that off without somebody getting wind of it. Also, I do not hear of Melania attending Mass weekly with or without the President on a regular basis.
So, right now, I believe that Mrs. Trump is sympathetic to the Catholic Church, but is not a formal member at the present time.

This Archbishop declined - a week in advance - a polite invitation by the President of the United States to attend the President's visit to a historic religious shrine in the Archbishop's archdiocese? Because of "prior commitments?"
Sure! That's the ticket!
