Perhaps if they golfed on their knees that might help. :-)

Ohhhh ... yes, lets rename it! That symbolic change will make the world a better place and keep black kids from killing each other in the inner cities.

Oh good lord. Another idiot that doesn’t realize words have multiple meanings.
1. a man who has people working for him, especially servants or slaves.
2. having or showing very great skill or proficiency.
The tournament is talking about definition #2. Having great skill. A tournament of people having great skill at golf. A tournament of people who are MASTERS at the game of golf.

Is everyone that has a Master’s degree a racist?
It means you have mastered the subject. It means you are now an EXPERT in the subject.
Masters, in the golf tournament sense, means you are an expert in golf.

Did you “master” that subject???
THAT is the kind of “Masters” the Masters Tournament is about.
What next? Colleges will change the Masters Degree to something else??
There is mastery of a subject and master over someone. The two uses of the word “master” are not part of each other.
Why are we here? It began in academia with “trigger words”.
Only an uneducated and well-propagandized “black” would be personally “offended” by the title of the Masters Tournament.

When you hear anyone say the Masters, you think of slave masters in the South. Theres nothing else, nothing special. You dont think of someone mastering the game of golf. When has anyone mastered golf? No, people with normally-functioning brains would think it was a tournament for people who are really good at golf. Only those who have some kind of fetish about slavery would think it has anything to do with a slave master. I don't want to give screwballs any more ideas but, since the grounds were once a plantation with slaves, maybe a name change isn't enough. Burn it, plow it under, and salt the ground!
