Hydroxychloroquine has been getting prescribed since 1955. If it were so horrible and dangerous, it seems like somebody would’ve known it by now. I actually heard a pretty funny pod-cast where a doctor was being interviewed. He’s been prescribing it for 20 years. Now when prescribes it, he gets a call from a pharmacist tech at Walgreen’s asking him what the heck he’s doing and is just sure it’s gotta be a mistake.
I’d be going ballistic over that. Getting questioned by a pharmacist tech for prescribing a drug that’s as safe as Tylenol!?
