Listen carefully. The first five shots are a loud, deep report I’ve heard from other AK47 style weapons at rifle ranges. The later shots are a lighter, higher pitch (to my ears) reports similar to what I hear handguns make, again at ranges.
That’s a REALLY important fact. If, indeed, the dead man shot first, then it was legit self-defense to shoot back. I was up late and read the tweets after the shooting- it was ALL pro dead guy.

My sincerest condolences to you for the tragic boating accident (TBA) you obviously suffered immediately after your last visit to the range where you lost your entire personal arsenal, a horrible fate that’s befallen many of the rest of us here.
Isn’t the AK a low velocity rifle? Wouldn’t a low velocity rifle make a deeper sound? I admit I’m not an expert on the subject.
