The gist of this is essentially correct.

But the GOPe is still in denial.

I believe that both major parties are close to splintering. Failure to embrace "Trumpism," will destroy the GOP.

Because the GOP tries to be PC and play it down the middle and the only thing that makes them attractive I’ve is that they are not Dem, then the GOP will likely become the modern day equivalent of the Whig party

The GOP enables the GOPe and does nothing about it. The entire party is complicit in the fraud and political mess we find ourselves in today. The GOP made no effort to fix things or fight for conservative principles.

Unfortunately, the two party system is tightly coupled to state laws for almost everything to do with elections. That is a very high hurdle to jump.
