Changing rules in the middle of the game, or moving the goalposts, to attain a desired result is wrong regardless who might do it. The Trump train has the ability to prevail with rules that have been in place since 1804. But, it requires stiff spines from Republican state legislators. As an aside, there is an interesting article on politico about another last chance strategy which may be used. I am still mulling it, but my initial reaction is that it is not viable.

I don't think any effort to change the rules of the game now will work. The media is bombarding the public with the notion that Biden won and will be inaugurated next month. Time is running out for the Trump team to overturn the fraudulent results in Pennsylvania, Michigan, Wisconsin and Georgia. They are getting very little help from elected Republicans.

If Trump does prevail, the anger of the Deep State will be so intense as to make his first term look like a walk in the park by comparison. I wouldn't put it past them to resort to assassination to prevent a second term.
