In this case, I happen to agree that Maher is right. He is saying that California state government cares more about attacking supposed “White privilege” than it cares about correcting the problems that make CA a dystopia.
Maher is definitely liberal and 95% of what comes out of his mouth is right out of the Dem party talking points. But every now and then (as in this case), he says something that is right on point. In the MSM, this makes him “controversial”. He is smarter than most in the Media since he makes some attempt to play both sides of the fence. In fact, I suspect that Maher knows the truth, but mostly tows the Leftist line because he realizes the would be out of a job if he did not. But I don’t watch him because I’m wise to the game he is playing.
I agree. He knows the reality. Globalist billionaires controlling both parties. He just can’t explicitly say it, or he will be canceled.
I also like the way he clearly thinks the Capitol “attack” is being greatly exaggerated by calling it the “Waffle House Brigade”
Ultimately though, no matter what positions he takes he is a nihilistic, narcissistic asshole.
He is saying that California state government cares more about attacking supposed “White privilege” than it cares about correcting the problems that make CA a dystopia.

Cal and New York are so obviously screwed up I can’t help to think there is a chance that it’s intentional to drive a portion of residents out to change the political make up of other states.
