“For many decades now I have been wracking my brain trying to understand how things work and why nothing seems to make sense.”
What unites the left among many disparate and unrelated groups is an opposition to the basic worldview of Christianity. Sure, they may give lip-service to being Catholic or Christian, but it is only as a marketing brand they’ve coopted for self-aggrandizement like everything else they do.
Other than that the biggest problem with trying to “understand how things work” is the assumption that the modern left makes sense.
The left is insane. Don’t try too hard to make sense of it.
It is true. If any law, policy or project is anti biblical it will have the support of the left. A unifying theme.
Redundant since Catholic is a subgroup of Christian, just like Protestant or Orthodox.
Yes. That's what I'm analyzing here.
My own theory is that just as the western world was run by chrstians for centuries, those western leaders are now inverted chrstians. There's a word for inverted chrstianity (two, actually).
Talk to right-wingers in India and they will say that the left hates Hinduism and supports Christians and Muslims
The left has opposed views that oppose the left's aim to replace religion with state-worship. You could see the same even in South Yemen and in Albania - where they declared war on islam and won.
