Gird your loins for civil war.

CW2 = Weimar X Yugoslavia X Rwanda.

“We’re gonna need some artillery.”

If there is to be any hope of pushback to this fascist Maoist takeover, we’re gonna need an organizational structure with planning and leadership. Without that, carrying a weapon just makes us easily-identifiable targets.

Artillery was the weapon of choice in the Yugoslavian break up wars of the early 90’s.

Too easy to locate and take out herewith the surveillance, air power, and even possible overwhelming counter-battery assets.

No, I’m afraid our civil war would mostly involve snipers, IED’s, and drones on the insurgent side. The establishment side has the whole inventory — at least the inventory unaffected by sympathetic actors within the ranks...

If this gets kinetic, it is gonna be filthy... Asymmetric and guerilla warfare usually involves violence against the softest and hardest to defend targets, with a high probability of getting away to do more insurgency tomorrow. Think Viet Cong, Khmer Rouge, or UNITA. If an insurgency is not willing to use THOSE tactics, their initial casualty rates will be too high to form a sustainable insurgency.
