One of the finest tributes I’ve ever read. Damn, I miss him. He had a way of making it not seem so bad.

I feel like I lost an older brother too.

I miss Rush big time, he was a great voice for conservatives.
I am often wondering how can that void be filled (not replaced). Very few people come to mind that can represent conservative values plus draw in a younger audience to open their minds and viewpoints. One is at the top of my list, Steven Crowder, followed by Candace Owens, then Dana Loesch.

Brothers know each other best. I can't listen to his show any more. He's gone and no one is going to replace him. Listening to his tapes is a sad comparison.
By the same token, Churchill's great-grandson died a few years ago, and his brother's eulogy was also very intimate. Doesn't have a lot to do with Free Republic discussions today but it reflects a very dignified way to handle loss.
