I remember as a young boy my dad deliberately getting ‘lost’ in Watts just to freak out my great Aunt who was really a racial bigot—especially against blacks who she referred to aa “boogies”, but to be fair she didn’t like Germans, French, Brits, Italians, etc either. In any case my dad got a big kick out of it. We were perfectly safe, but then, this was in the early 50s. What has happened to black urban Americans?
Many of them (far too many!) have gone feral...
My ethnicity generally doesn’t really like any other ethnicity, and is very wary of its own!
