Wondering what is making all that yellow colored water.
If that dam broke it would send china back yrs. I have read that about 30% of their electricity production comes from there.
I believe the water there has always had that disconcerting color.
Of course, a couple of years back, I drove by the James River in Virginia after days and days of heavy rain, and it was as turbulent as all get out and completely the color of light chocolate milk.
No worries, comrades. Is good, solid socialist engineering. Only finest rebar and cement used.
It might be the Yellow River, China’s 2nd longest. If so, the color is from silt. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yellow_River
Works for me although I do feel for all the people who would suffer and die from it.
But the CCP needs to be cut down to size.
I have read that about 30% of their electricity production comes from there.

Not even close. In 2020, 3 Gorges set a record for electrical energy in that it generated 111.8 billion kWh which broke the record of Itaipu Dam (joint project of Paraguay and Brazil). 3 Gorges has an installed generating capacity of 22,500 MegaWatts (32 units at 700 MW each).
Also in 2020 but for all of China, total electrical energy generation was 7,623,600 billion kWh and their generating capacity was 2,200,580.000 MW.
3 Gorges represents closer to 1% of what China generates.
For what it’s worth, China generates more electricity than the United States, India and Russia combined...
And 400 MILLION people in flood able areas downstream, hopefully including 9p% of their military.
The flood would take out every city down to Shanghai, a major disaster.
