You simply can’t operate a landscaping service with these restrictions. I have several friends who own them.

Mowers, trimmers, blowers often run for 3-4 hours straight and travel all over a neighborhood/church grounds/fairgrounds for miles. They’d need to be recharged several times a day. Where do they do that? And while they’re charging back up, what do the workers do? Also, batteries aren’t as powerful as gas.

There’s NO upside to this.

And while they’re charging back up, what do the workers do?

Each landscaping truck will have a charging station onboard. They will leave their truck idling while they are at one residence, charging batteries for the next stop. They will then swap batteries. So much for reducing "green house gases". ;o)

I hate this ridiculous and draconian oppression by the fools in Sacramento but your scenario is easily dealt with by having multiple batteries. A landscape service worker will simply swap several out during the course of a workday.

It will make operating that service more expensive, thus eliminating smaller competitors. It will also likely raise prices, and during a blackout your lawn likely won’t get trimmed.

The answer to this is every single lawn care company in Cali saying no more! And doing it right now, before the ink dries on the dictators signature on the law. But, we know that isn't going to happen.
