When I heard that the crew was using the prop gun to do target shooting WITH LIVE ROUNDS with this gun during down times I was shocked. That means that every time you handle it it is IMPERATIVE that you treat it like ANY other firearm. It is NOT a prop gun that never sees live ammo.

about a year ago my brother was handling an old 9mm gun that a “gun expert” had been handling in front of him a day before. He figured that the expert would have, OF COURSE, ensured it was fully unloaded when he was handling it. So my brother, without bothering to verify that it was unloaded, simply pulled the trigger. It put a hole in the dining room table and went through the dining room wall of the house.

I just wanted to bitch slap the guy.

I did the same thing with my one of my son’s guns that was supposedly unloaded. Scary. At least I was outside.

Once, in San Diego at an indoor range, 3 guys brought their girlfriends in to practice. Obviously, first time for the girls (in their early 20s). One girl kept waving her handgun all over the place. She'd turn from the firing line, weapon in hand, and talk/laugh with her friends. Everywhere she looked, the weapon followed. Range Master wasn't in sight. Husband went and got him.

Very dangerous and we were shocked that gun didn't go off. People are stupid.
