The entire current administration is all REACTIONARY to Trump,

The key to our situation is not endlessly repeating “What Biden [sic] is doing” or “What the Dems are doing”, but rather, “What did the Republicans do when the man we elected to fix these problems came under relentless attack while they held both Houses of Congress?”

He came under relentless attack by what amounted to an insurrection, and not only did the Republicans do nothing, THEY HELPED THE INSURRECTIONISTS.

The only way is for red states to collect IRS money and only send money for what DC was supposed to do....and block all federal regulation they do not agree with....this is not a free country....DC controls every thing....

A Tesla model 3 goes 4 miles on one kWh from the plug. Retail power in Texas can be had at 8 cents per kWh all in taxes and fees included.
That’s 8/4 or two cents per mile in fuel costs.
Petrol is $3.09 US gal at the local quictrip in a comparable sized sedan such as an S60 Volvo that gets 30 mpg combined which is on the high side typical is 28 but let’s use 30
309/30 = 10.3 cents per mile or FIVE times more expensive. Even at $1.68 the lowest price in the last year here in NTX
168/30= 5.6 cents per mile still more than double.
The model 3 already costs less new from Tesla than a S60 does so capital costs are already lower for the Tesla. This doesn’t count any tax credits for the EV. Tesla no longer gets federal tax credits they have made more than 500,000 EV and those credits stopped years ago. Texas doesn’t have state credits like California.
In bulk solar panels can be had for 15 cents per watt of capacity in 10,000 watt quantities. These panels have a 25 year capacity warranty, with a hail.rating and fully covered by home owners insurance. Most insurance will give a discount due to the hail protection they provide to the roofs surface they sit on. 10000 watts of panels will make on avg at this latitude full rated power for 10 to 8 of the 14 to 10 hour day lengths with summer days being 14 hours long and the shortest winter day of 10.1 hours on the solstice. They will make 1/3 to 2/3 rated power on the other hours of daylight at each end of the day. Total 10kw of panels should make 100 to 80kWh per day of full sunlight. Texas gets 220 of those days per year at this location. This is the equivalent to having a gas station in your backyard. Those panel’s will make 70,000+ miles worth of EV range in a years time.

Two guys can install the panels in an 8 HR shift at $15 per hour for labor which is generous as labor can be had for under $10

You will need a certified electrician to join the inverters to your main breaker panel and a 50 amp tie in breaker. A competent ET should do this in an hour at most using an empty breaker spot on your panel. A 50 amp breaker is $10 bucks at home depot and 220v 50 amp rated cable is $2 per foot of run.
Going grid free with a transfer breaker would be more expensive but would allow for the panels to run when the grid is down. Depending on the union laws and state electricians can be $75 to well over $200 per hour. Here in right to work Texas I have a ET for 75 hour on call.
Once you have the panels, inverters and 50 amp breaker you now have 25 years worth of electricity every time the sun shines.
The math works like this 80kWh per day minimum times 220 days sun on the climate average per year is 17600 kWh per year over 25 years is 440,000 kWh the actual number will be much higher due to using the minimum not the max.
$1500+2200+240+75+10+100= $4125 covert that into cents not dollars
412500/440,000 = 0.93 cents per kWh under one cent per kWh total
Going four miles on that .93 cents is .234 cents per mile.
Converted into the price per gallon of petrol to equal the same .234 cents per mile in a 50 mpg vehicle why 50 because thats what the fedgov says the average must be by 2035
For a 50 mpg vehicle to have fuel costs of .234 cents per mile petrol would have to cost 11.73 cents per gallon not even Saudi Arabia can meet those prices.
