To: Extremely Extreme Extremist

That’s a great song. As you probably know, Grace wrote it herself. The drumming and bass intro reminds me of a classical piece written by Maurice Ravel called “Bolero”.

Grace had a memorable voice perhaps because of the part she was playing. Sometimes her stage presence alluded to that of a Cassandra figure. Part of Greek mythology.
Cassandra was cursed for her ability to predict the future, but no one would listen to her.
White Rabbit sounds like one of those cryptic, strident warnings.

both pieces make use of the distinctive Phrygian mode, essentially a natural minor with the second lowered a semitone...Ravel employed both the Phrygian and Dorian (a minor mode featuring a raised sixth) with a resulting exotic, almost somnolent timbre...
