Conservatives generally don’t go about poking our noses into other people’s business or trying to get things “cancelled” just because we don’t like it.
And I for one LIKE Halloween and don’t for one second think it goes against any religious principles.

They will never ban Christmas. Christmas is celebrated by Christians and non-Christians alike. It is the biggest cash cow for big business. When companies go from red to black to big profit.
It was the Roman Catholic Church’s way of submerging Samhein which started on October 31st as the Celtic New Year, in which it was believed that the dead could visit the living for a time. Just as the Catholic Church assigned December 25th as Jesus’ birthday to coincide with the pagan festival of Saturnalia and Mithra’s birthday which was around the winter solstice.
By the majority of responses here to this request to ban Halloween; bring back the Lord into the public square will not be supported.
They have their proponents too.

Halloween is not a legal holiday.

Like anything, people celebrate in a variety of ways regardless of the day.
Growing up, it was a day in which we got to dress up as a character, eat cookies and have punch at the school parties, go house to house for treats. Not once did we think about satan, etc. It was meant to be fun. And we had a blast back in the ‘60’s.

Some people see evil where it doesn't exist, like people who see racism in everything.
I agree with you. Maybe not banning it, but individually stopping the celebration of it.
It’s not going to happen.
I hate it myself but too many people refuse to see the evil in it and think it’s too much fun for the kids.
Since it’s not a Christian holiday, it will never get the ax.
