Thank you! Yes, they butt right up against the edge of the narrow road. It’s so narrow, if you meet a truck going the other way, there is no room to pass and one must pull over onto the grass or into a driveway. Residents drive slowly, but many of the delivery trucks, lawn service trucks, etc. do not.

A few years ago, a utility truck swerved to miss a pedestrian, crashed into one of the “brick outhouses” and demolished it. One of my concerns is in the split second one has to make such a choice, a car driver’s brain might signal “no, not into the stone pillar!” and someone could be hurt or killed.

They *should* be outlawed.

The edge of the road/pavement is probably NOT the edge of the easement.

The easement should be not impeded by such “Brick Outhouses”.

I think the owner could be liable.

It might be work to activate the county or city into action.

If you keep your car where it belongs, on the road, it doesn’t matter what the mailboxes are made of.

Maybe people should try that.
