What exactly is a cross draw safety meeting?
This is the year 2022. We need to simply accept that some gunslingers cross draw. They were born that way.
When I go to WalMart I see kids parading around with the butt of their Colt pointed forward and on their left hip. For most of them it is a phase they outgrow once their middle aged spread develops and reaching around their Budweiser belly becomes difficult.
However, some people crossdraw all their lives. Who am I to judge?

As I understand, Baldwin was practicing a crossdraw when the gun went off. A crossdraw is when the shooter pulls the gun out of its holster, say with his right hand, from the left side of his body. Thus, he's drawing the gun across his body. There is a right way and a wrong way to do it (you don't want to break the 170), to avoid an accident.

Cross draw means you wear a handgun butt forward and reach across your body to draw. This is usually done to look cool.
When I’m hunting I shoulder my rifle sling on my right side so if I’m also carrying a sidearm I carry it cross draw on my left side.
