Here in Jonestown PA (Lebanon County) its currently 7 degrees.
We call that “winter”.
Not “Wintermaggedon”.
It snowed in eustis florida. 1989 to 1990 I believe. My horses had ice cycles hanging in them. My pipes froze. It was horrible.
Keep your eyes to the skies, Iguanas will be falling from the trees....
Already reached out to neighbors who may want their iguanas promptly dispatched, that I’ll come over early Sunday morning and dispatch and remove the sitting [d]ucks.
Iguana Man and Iguana Solutions. I'm amazed at how many of them there are down there and how many eggs a single female can lay.
Yup. Right here it is:

BB will not do the job on the larger ones, nor will blunt pellets. You must use pointed pellets to penetrate. I use a break barrel .22 scoped pellet rifle. Very satisfying dead cat thump when they hit the ground after breaking branches on the way down.

p.s...The biggest challenge is that this is a suburban setting, so much much caution is necessary evaluating down range dangers and often the shot cannot be taken easily, or at all, without moving about and the older ones are smarter than imagined, as they learn to avoid the dangers.
All in all, cheap rifle/trigger practice without having to expend the .308 at the range =o)
Fire up the sprinklers.

Good one! (”Trading Places” right?)
With that being said, here's a video that you might like which emphasizes the necessity of killing these lizards wherever and whenever they are observed.:

maybe over analyzing, but basing my comments on my own experience with the weapons I have on hand, which are a CO2 BB pistol and a beeman break barrel .22 pellet rifle.
A BB, from a CO2 pistol simply doesn’t do the job, except on juvenile iguanas. Period.
I’ve hit older ones with less accurate blunt nose pellets only to have them scamper away for no second shot, but once I switched to pointed nose rounds, problem solved. It should be noted that early on my pellet rifle was new, it was slow, but after break in, the muzzle velocity and accuracy increased..this may have been a factor.
I don’t care to spend $3k+ for the weapon platforms used in the videos, because it isn’t my livelihood, nor do I profit on a ewetoob channel. I use the tools available.
In this neighborhood a clear shot is not always available. They hang out on the docks and boats (including mine) of our canals. Many boats, windshields, homes etc down range and in.many instances, this would simply be foolish to take shots with ricochet dangers. Up in a tree, or roof, no problems.
#4..be sure of your target and what’s beyond it.
I’d be some kind of righteously angry if someone shot up my boat, or home, or truck window (as I was when it happened to me due to negligence by the neighborhood kids a few years back when they shot out my truck window) due to ignoring rule #4.
What may seem like over thinking to one person may not be so to another and as a certified RSO, I take no chances with over penetration, or down range harm or injury.
If you believe such prudence is “over thinking it”, I’ll leave that for your personal discernment.
Happy safe hunting!
...that is all
I've got the Beeman Kodiak in the same caliber. Apparently they don't make them anymore and I can't even find them for sale on the internet. Great rifle tho and good enough for shooting rabbits.
I've also got a PCP Daystate Huntsman Regal XL in .177 with scope that I use on the sparrows and starlings in my back yard.
It’s past orange harvest season in FL. Freeze will only harm vulnerable plants and water pipes now.
