Paging former president Barack Obama! Did you know that not only your island home on Martha's Vineyard but your new beachfront home currently being built on Oahu are in imminent danger of being flooded out? And the millions of dollars you spent on both will also be washed away!
At least that is according to Zack Coleman who covers climate change for Politico. However, the good news for Obama is that Coleman offers zero proof to back up his apocalyptic assertion on Monday in "Seas could rise up to a foot by 2050, posing 'a clear and present risk' to U.S."

I would be just as correct and as scientific as the Politico article, in saying that, sea levels will decrease by a few inches because of the warming sun and the increase of CO2 in the air, because a warming planet makes water evaporate, thereby the loss of sea level.
No proof, but, just as scientific.
Back in the mid 90s while in grade school I was taught oceans would sink cities by the time I was an adult. I was also told the Great Lakes were losing water at a rate that would make a recovery impossible. (Hint the lakes are at record high levels)

My default question is Where is any evidence that the sea level has risen? There is none.
Fear is the best motivator for large populations. The wu-flu panic is the prime example.
Now that the wu-flu is no longer useful as a motivator, something else must be developed scary enough to manage the masses.
And at the same time get their minds off the daily revelations of corruption and murder by those in power.

Actually there is a lot but it is a minuscule rise of about 1 mm a year for the past 20 years. Subsidence is a bigger factor and that isn’t related to AGW. So 20 mm is less than an inch.
I thought we’d all be under water by now.

I am glad to hear that. They used to predict like 100 feet rise.
