Yup, I neglected to mention Taiwan, China's been the one displaying Taipei behavior in that part of the world. /rimshot

In the 1930s the USSR defeated the Japanese in Mongolia, then left it an independent buffer state between itself and various Asian threats of that time, to the present. Chinese refugee leakage into eastern Siberia at least used to be a growing issue for Pooty-poot.

“Granted, the Euro’s will have to bear temporary discomfort too, but, theirs can be addressed if:

A) They restart all their nuclear plants.”

So you’re saying that Europe might as well accept that they have some big-time suffering ahead.

“I should further add that the sanctions announced so far are laughable.”

True, but the problem we have now is that the US and Europe are no longer the king of the hill and we cannot make Russia (or China) suffer more than we do when we talk sanctions.

Too bad we didn’t consider that before committing mutual suicide.

Hmm, some of the people I talk with who have analytical backgrounds found Putin’s talk impressive, hardly “rambling”. Instead they found him to be a skilled orator.

Something with which our MEdia is entirely inexperienced at reporting.

His extensive quotes and grasp of history, without a teleprompter, seemed like a slap at the mental incompetency of both Biden and Harris.
