Remember all the hype about China’s ultrasonic weapon a month or three ago.

“If that was munition and missile storage...
Where are the secondary explosions???”
Stop thinking for yourself. You want to start a dangerous and subversive trend?

Why use a hypersonic missile on a stationary target?

We’ll know it’s real when it shows up in “Call of Duty”/s

Given that Ukraine has what, virtually no missile defense capabilities one has to ask, why? Why use a relatively new hypersonic missile designed to evade missile defense technologies? The answer is probably as both an operational test and demonstration to potential adversaries (or purchasers).
That would mesh well with the idea of using it on a target in the eastern part of Ukraine where they could go retrieve critical technology bits if for some reason it failed to detonate or failed to reach its target.

US officials confirmed to CNN that Russia launched hypersonic missiles against Ukraine last week, the first known use of such missiles in combat

I’m virtually certain if they did, it was an opportunity for an operational test, with the ability to go destroy the wreckage if the missile aborted for some reason.

If that was munition and missile storage... Where are the secondary explosions???Perhaps it was targeted incorrectly, or the ammo was stored in a manner which precludes chaining.
There's no reason from the video to believe this was a hypersonic weapon. What I see is a projectile which could be a drone-guided artillery round with delayed fuzing.

What’s that flash that shows up on some replays, but not all, at the bottom of the image, about 1/3 over from the left. And why is it only visible sometimes?

Come on. Anybody can see it plowed a forty seven mile furrow before exploding. Man, it was faster than a speeding bullet.

Senior US official confirms Russia did fire more than one hypersonic missile Saturday based on speeds observed but US officials do not view this as an escalation toward possible use of nuclear weapons. Perhaps could be indication Putin is running out of precision guided missiles.
