I was permanently banned once I followed Dan Bongino. Before that, I had ‘liked’ some of Trump’s twitter posts and other conservatives.

It stands for ‘A Tennis Nut’ because she is a HUGE fan of the sport.

Social media companies should be heavily fined for any past incidents in which they presented themselves as free speech platforms on the basis of fraud and false advertising. Likewise, we need our people to block any legislation they advocate as a consequence to their censorship ideology.

This is a very reasonable idea, though I favor smashing all their equipment and beating everyone who ever controlled it, even putting some of them in prison for denial of civil rights, but I could go along with your idea.

In a sane world, these people should be found and then punched repeatedly in the mouth until they understand they have no right to censor other people's speech.

One can say the moon is made of cheese, and not get banned on twatter
One can say the earth is flat, and not get banned on twatter.

Tilt against the communist narrative on twatter, and you will be canceled then punished

Real reason is she keeps reminding the world of what bill clinton did to her.

twitter, like the other “social media,” poses as a place to post thoughts, but in reality is a trap for conservatives. The left is allowed to say/do anything it wants, but normal people are flushed out and selected for destruction. You get fired for your twitter posts!

So he buys 30% of the company and just needs to get 21% more to win ALL of the board sets.

Yep!

Dumping the Boston tea did not result in the colonists being prohibited from ever drinking tea again, nor even from dumping tea in the harbor again.

Getting oneself permanently banned from Twatter, in a show of solidarity with Broaddrick, is an opus. So I don't consider the Tea Party a great analogy.

I suppose leaving Twatter in a "blaze of glory" has some drama-queen appeal, but if I were a Twit and looking to piss them off enough to ban me, I'd choose something considerably more inflammatory. And I would have done so when Trump was banned. :-)

Cheers, y'all, have fun on Twatter....

You need to understand that “free speech” is something the Constitution forces upon the government, and only the government. Individuals and corporations are not bound in any fashion to the concept. That is Freedom in action.

It is the perfect analogy. Quoting Capt. Obvious:

It was an act of rebellion which led directly to the flashpoint of the War of Independence: The king’s 1774 “Coercive Acts.”

Ironically, in light of other rather minor acts of rebellion against ‘big social’ and MSM, despite their control over social & mainstream media there is a growing call for laws to combat ‘misinformation’.

Most pointedly, the ‘Boston Tea Party’ inspired many other similar acts among the colonies.

I’m not suggesting that the result of such a ‘challenge’ would be even remotely ominous, but that no Conservative has any business remaining in a forum in which compliance - aside from silence - is the only choice.

Clearly some people learned absolutely nothing from the last 2 years.

You need to understand that “free speech” is something the Constitution forces upon the government, and only the government. Individuals and corporations are not bound in any fashion to the concept. That is Freedom in action.

*You* need to understand that the intent of the Framers was that speech would not be censored. That they could not conceive of anything but a government having the power to do such a thing is irrelevant to their intent and the danger caused to our system of governance when such a thing is tolerated.

*You* also need to understand that when a corporation controls sufficient shares of mass communications, the government(s) can pressure it to do what they want through back door intimidation.

Witness Google, Youtube, Facebook, Microsoft, Twitter and so forth doing *ANYTHING* the Chinese government wants them to do.

In this nation we cannot allow speech to be controlled by anyone. If there are those of you out there that believe this only applies to government, then I will tell you I vehemently disagree and that I will not entertain such a notion because this belief leaves the danger the Framers sought to avoid, intact.

All mass communications companies must be *FORCED* to behave like telephone companies, and I will not accept any interpretation of the constitution that allows them to censor public speech carried by their communications infrastructure.

Or from the last 249.

Those who didn't learn from that example are more responsible for atmospheric CO2 than our cars.

In a way, Gates may be onto something...

Yes -- I could not agree more.

Which is why I'm not a Twit, I discourage friends and family from becoming or remaining Twits, and it pains me when a FReeper posts links into Twit content.

Sticking your thumb in their eye by repeating sure-to-be-banned tweets may be momentarily satisfying, but if the result is you get banned, then just quit and don't look back.

With any luck, Musk will do a hostile takeover and then close it. Twatter. Must. Die.
