I think I read that mccarthy’s statement about “asking trump to resign” was part of his reply to liz chaney’s question to mccarthy “are you going to ask trump to resign”?

So maybe the “mole” who leaked the story of the mccarthy asking trump to resign was actual chaney recounting mccarthy’s answer to her question???

Iow. She could have set mccarthy up & planted the story with the press to hurt both trump & mccarthy???
