The reversal before final opinion happened with Obamacare as well, Roberts’s majority opinion upholding Obamacare was originally written as a reversal which is why it reads so incoherently.

Breyer was my first thought as well.
Not only is abortion not deeply rooted in the Nation’s history and traditions, it is not found in the Constitution per se and was a liberal carve out to legalize a practice that resulted in moral depravity.

Well, they circulate a “draft opinion” to see if they get enough votes for the court to adopt it as the court decision. If not, another draft opinion gets circulated. There could be several draft opinions going around, all different. Maybe not BS, but not worth too much either, without more information.

I don’t see gutless Roberts and gutless Kavanaugh ever making such a bold ruling as this. Moreover, on such an important decision as this the Senior justice would write the majority opinion. Without Roberts voting with the majority that means Thomas would write this opinion. I can’t imagine he would not write this opinion,

This, if true, would be the pretense for the left to really go over the edge. On the left this would be worse than bringing back slavery. The Supremes do this and you’ll see the study on “fixing” the court back front and center.
