I was not familiar with Perdue’s background.
Good to know he worked at Dollar General which is akin to being from a McDonalds, another franchise operation.
On face value, I prefer that experience because it means Perdue has a feel for the issues facing small business. And Perdue is criticizing Kemp on the Rivian fraud.

To the best of my knowledge, there was no actual person, so yeah, it's just a story. From what I recall though, of reading some of the earlier versions of the story when I was young, the thing that pissed off the king, was that Mr. Hood was robbing tax collectors and returning the moneys to the people. To me, that is truly heroic.

The point was that GWB would not be making an appearance unless Kemp's victory was a lead pipe cinch.
Since Georgia is an open primary state, and since Stacy Abrams is running unopposed, the activists are directing their followers to vote for Kemp in the Republican Primary. Just like the McConnell and Haley Barbour encouraged minority Democrats to vote for the GOPe candidate in Mississippi.
