Tell that to all the New Jersey freepers who still believe in the power of the cheap piece of cloth. In Manhattan yesterday I would estimate 15-20 pct of people still wear the face hijab OUTSIDE.
According to a study done by the NY MTA last month) only about 65% wore the required face diapers properly (ie people wearing below the nose) and nearly 20% don’t wear it at all despite all the announcements and placards on the trains. This is in deep blue NYC. On the PATH going to Manhattan from. NJ yesterday, I would say 1/3 of passengers weren’t wearing masks.
Because masks do nothing -- nothing!! -- to affect, much less control, a respiratory virus; because kids are the least affected of all by the Fauci Flu; because in the face of study after study confirming the harmful health effects of forced masking of healthy people and healthy kids; and because of the more recent study after study conclusions of the potentially lethal psychological effects of forcing kids -- and adults -- to wear the truly de-humanizing face mask, I am left with the undeniable conclusion that mask zealots either don't care that their demands cause serious physical and psychological harm to children or, just as likely, they get some sort of sadistic pleasure in hurting children and controlling adults.
There are some seriously sick b@astards controlling our society these days ... really sick!!! ... and their irrational fear and breathtaking level of science illiteracy is no excuse for their despicable behavior toward kids.
Yep, the usual deep blue districts in my state (Montclair, South Orange/Maplewood, Metuchen) either brought the mandates back or in the case of Montclair never let them go. I frequently go to a Target and Whole Foods near Maplewood and people mask like it’s May 2020.
Good grief.
I hardly ever see a muzzle around my area anymore. Not even on waiters and store cashiers.
I see the occasional face diaper on a nail tech at the nail salon, but they wore masks long before the plandemic because of the chemicals or the fine dust created when doing a client’s nails.

Actually, just after I wrote my comment, a female ‘Transit cop’ (who actually has FULL LEO privileges) and a femaile city cop, boarded the train, checking for tickets and passes. If I had the time and the energy, I would have brought it to the attention of the cop, that masks ARE REQUIRED on ALL public transit, per a Provincial law. (The ‘Transit cop was wearing a mask.)

I live in a high rise populated mostly by people from China and they have not dropped the masks since this thing began, but that’s a cultural thing (just like their superstitions around colors and numbers, it will not change). It’s very surprising to see native born Americans of any race still wearing the worthless things.
I had a cold a few weeks ago. Yep, a plain old ordinary cold. Whenever I get a cold, it turns to bronchitis, which includes a cough that lasts a few weeks.
I’m getting real sick of saying “it’s just bronchitis” whenever I cough near someone.
Wow. Some quack publishes a BS study (and names the ‘effect’ after himself ! ) in a second or third rate publication (because no other would pick it up) and people are treating it like the gospel. People will willingly believe anything that reinforces what they already believe.

Yes, my dad and I have the same issue. It is a pain in the butt. And these days it is more of a pain.

YES. That’s exactly the case. Rebreathing the virus builds up the load in your airways, and the mask allows the virus to “reverse filter” the pathogen back into your airways. Fresh air goes into the mask, picks up pathogens, straight back into your lungs.
Like farting into a plasic bag, then holding it against your face, breathing in and out.
