Most people here still wear masks and almost freakout when you(not wearing a mask) pass them ,LOL
Where is “here”?
Where is here?
I went for ice cream last night with the Mrs. We both laughed that there were two stupid liberal men(older men with pony tails) that were standing in line OUTSIDE with masks on.
It was 70 degrees and sunny.
It is a similar situation where we are at, but here it is more like 30% wearing masks in most locations. I was at a Rotary Club meeting the other day. Thankfully it was at a restaurant and well attended, only a couple dozen people were “participating” through the Zoom meeting which was projected on a big screen.
When I first arrived I habitually tried to shake an old guys hand and he pulled it away from me and put it in his pocket. I apologized and said that I forgot about the Covid thing. Then others arrived and we were all shaking hands as usual. There were about 3 people who were wearing masks and mostly staying away from others. I felt a little sorry for them.
It seems to me like most people who are testing positive for Covid currently have a little cough. They are told to isolate for a few days and then go back to work regardless of whether or not their cough has gone away. The vast majority seem to have been fully vaccinated and boosted.
Covid is now endemic, meaning that it is basically everywhere. Wearing a mask is less than worthless. It does not protect the wearer or those around them.
Canadian, eh?
FWIW, in Alberta, masks are required on public transit. Perhaps 60% of riders wear masks. As I take public transit to work, and wear specific clothing that would ID my employer, I have to wear the ‘facial diaper’ on transit. When I am not wearing identifiable clothing, I do not wear the mask.
Really? Wow…how summer of 2020.
Masks have almost disappeared where I live. I went grocery shopping this evening and didn’t see a single mask.
