The fact that so much of the critical infrastructure of the West (it’s not just America, it’s everywhere in the West) is so reliant on a handful of points of failure is pure madness. Our civilizational resilience has dropped dramatically post WW2 in the name of economic theory.
Slowly the general public are becoming aware of just how vulnerable we are to accidental or deliberate disruption for even the basics of civilization. That said there are considerable numbers who either will never understand or will never WANT to understand.
