Even if it wasn’t I don’t understand why more don’t talk about the hypocrisy of the matter.
ANTIFA had thousands and thousands of rioters with gear on and they were not arrested for that. A very few were arrested for actually committing violence. These guys didn’t even do that.
If we allow the left to arrest every militant force the right has and allow the left to be militant we will be as dangerous as a lion that has been declawed and defanged. We will still be able to roar and that’s it!

Pretty sure lawsuits to follow. You’re correct, just having some masks & shields (etc) isn’t a crime. Taking them to a protest isn’t either. Neither is protesting.
It would seem as though their 1st & 4th Amendment rights were violated...unless the group had detailed specific illegal actions, of which have not been provided - which I’d imagine they would have been if they existed.
