If he produces a tape while this circus of a committee is empaneled he’s guaranteed a subpoena. When it’s over, he’s got a green light.
If you remember, Trump said the same thing to Comey.
“James Comey better hope that there are no ‘tapes’ of our conversations before he starts leaking to the press!”
That would be a loser strategy. Leverage in the hand, produced at the right moment to do the most damage.
