I’m sure President Biden will issue an executive order. I’m equally sure that Congress will do nothing.

“I they do not follow State laws, what laws do they follow”

The military is under no obligation to follow state law they are subject to the UCMJ and DOD personal on Federal land are subject to USC code as defined by Congress. In this case neither of those codes outlaw abortion at the federal level. The Hyde amendment only stops funding and that is renewed every budget reconciliation Congress could just as easy not put it in this military reconciliation bill it is not sacred nor guaranteed.

Most military posts have exclusive legislative jurisdiction by default since they are older than 1940 this means they are sovereign US Federal soil and not subject to one sentence of state penal nor civil code. Nearly every large base falls under this category. For the ones that don’t all the military has to do is threaten to close the base and wreak the local economy right in the heart of a coming depression unless the states sign over on the property deed exclusive legislative jurisdiction easy peasy.

That which is not forbidden is not illegal I would expect so called conservatives to live and breath by that limited government principle. There is nothing in the UCMJ prohibiting reproductive health services same for USC code. It would take an act of Congress signed by the CIC to change the UCMJ and also an act of Congress signed by POTUS or a veto proof majority to change the USC code. The Hyde amendment only stops funding and it’s not that hard to eliminate the Hyde if the political will is there it’s a simple majority vote during the reconciliation process.

You need to familiarize yourself with the legal standing of exclusive legislative jurisdiction that is held by the U.S. Federal government on US Federal soil. Get back to the class once you understand that very important fact. The short answer is on Federal soil with exclusive jurisdiction the Fed’s don’t ha’ve a legal obligation to enforce or obey state law that land is literally not part of that state no more than a piece of Oklahoma is subject to Texas law just because it butts up against Texas border. The DOD doesn’t have an obligation to obey sharia law in the Muslim countries we have bases in Saudi is a good example , Kuwait was another those bases are sovereign US Federal soil just like nearly every base is on the continental USA the deed or title grant will show if they have exclusive jurisdiction any property from before 1940 does by default that means any civil war or wwii era base is 100% Federal soil.

The ultimate lay of the Law is that the Constitution has to assign a right to fed.gov or fed.gov can't do it. So there is no authority for fed.gov to provide or to facilitate an abortion on fed.gov property or else where. That by no means is going to stop them from doing such things. It would be just another abuse in a long line of abuses.

"You’re behind the woke-word curve: Womyn has been replaced by Wymxn."

Oops....you're right!

I also forgot about all the pregnant men who might need abortions

There are ALL kinds of obstacles states can put in place to inconvenience a military installation.

1. NO military, dependents, allowed off post, base, port, to do shopping AND no deliveries [Dominoes, Pizza Hut, Chinese, groceries, Milk, Amazon, Wal-Mart, etc.] on same.

2. Convoys using in-state driver licenses only; heavy equipment [tanks & such] licensed commercial, Military licensing unacceptable...

... For starters

Oh, and ANY crime committed Off or On Installation, tried in civilian courts. There are agreements between each state and the feds. And most states are exempting the women, but not the doctors! The states can demand the surrender of a doctor performing an abortion for local prosecution.

In your reply to MLO you typed “...had wine with out dinner....”

Did you mean “with our” instead of “with out”?

So a doctor can perform an abortion under federal law?

It’s not that they don’t matter, it’s that they don’t apply. Military bases are federal land under federal and military jurisdiction. As an example, a state couldn’t pass a law prohibiting people on a military base from carrying automatic weapons.

I read a novel (can’t remember the name) in which all of the service women were subject to mandatory sterilization upon entering the service.

Not a bad idea if you think about it.

(Personally I’d I think all abortions should result in mandatory sterilization immediately afterwards; that would settle the abortion issue in a very interesting way.)

Shall we sterilize the man who impregnate the women also?

That wouldn’t be a bad idea; that might cause some of these idiots to think before they stick it in whatever hole happens to be there.

Maybe it is time for both men and women to learn how to say,”not no but he** no!”
