Oh, well....Here’s my list of State laws I refuse to comply with.....
If there is one thing the Pentagon is good at its killing kids.
Nice that the dems started this....Now when we say we won’t follow dems rules, we have them as proof that no one has to follow gov’t.....
SecDef Austin, that decision was made, as we say, above your pay grade.
Wonder if women planning to join our military have to take a pregnancy test?
Obama did a great job weaponizing the Federal government….and people said he was lazy. Pffft
State laws for the most part are not valid on military installations. The problem the DOD would have is getting enough doctors willing to conduct abortions at base hospitals.
They did no such thing. They issued a generic statement about how all service person's health is important to them, blah blah...and said they would continue to follow federal law.
New for many of you. The DoD is a federal agency. It is controlled by federal law, not state law. That's what they do. Their statement said nothing.
So what is this filthy PoS going to do? Only option is to put private Planned Parenthood facilities on military installations, since it is already illegal to perform abortions in military hospitals, and since in states that forbid abortion there will be no options off-post.
When I was in there was no abortion procedure paid for by DOD. As a nurse it was a safe place to be not having to participate
Yes, and abortionists in said metro area now looking for a new place to go do abortions under the protection of FedGov... and then leave the new place and go home at 5:00...
Yes, this is gonna get fun real quick, just like you said.
He is a despicable swine.
“but it won’t mean diddly if they break the law.”
As we have learned relatively recently, it all depends on who it is that’s breaking the law.
This is normal.
Military facilities are federal property under federal jurisdiction. They are not required to follow local laws on base unless they agree to.
Publicly announcing that they will not follow state abortion restrictions is virtue signaling. Getting outraged about the announcement is ignorance.
This is not really new. Technically, a military base is Federal property.
Indeed--it won't be long before the military has to go back to the days of the "go into the military or go to jail" to meet its recruiting goals like it was in the late 1960s and 70s--now that I think about, maybe that's the plan.
“ When I was in there was no abortion procedure paid for by DOD. As a nurse it was a safe place to be not having to participate”
Oh he’s talking about travel
That’s what they’re all talking about. T Starbucks, Amazon, all the usuals
Pentagon has seceded from the United States.
If they do not follow State laws, what laws do they follow?
what is more dangerous than a standing army that makes the statement that they do not need to obey laws?
So does this now change the law as noted below:
Op-Ed: Abortion restrictions widely punish military womenhttps://www.latimes.com › opinion › story › abortion-la...
Nov 12, 2021 — On top of public funding restrictions, military treatment facilities are prohibited from performing abortions, even if servicewomen pay for them ...
