Great question, and I am not a lawyer, but no. Due process comes to mind, for one.
It might go back to what lands the federal government can own within each state.
And no..they are not allowed to own Parks, Forests and BLM lands.
They got around that by putting them under a trust management by the feral government. And feral is NOT a misspelling.
