This is basically Russian source info, so take it with a large grain of salt. Ukraine has admitted to 50-100 killed per day, so that’s 5,000-10,000 or so, so it’s probably somewhere between those.

10K killed + 40K escaped over the borders = 50K lost.

The key words in this assessment are “at least”. 50,000 is likely a conservative estimate. And, Ukraine has lost its best troops.

Trust neither side during a war to provide the public with accurate information. How many years did the USG and DOD specifically, provide us with rosy upropaganda on our progress in Afghanistan? And then they lied under oath about the disastrous exit.
