The Library of Congress Subject Headings (LCSH), which is used by almost all libraries in the US to organize their collections lists the holiday as “Fourth of July” rather than “Independence Day.” So if you are looking for a library book on the holiday, you will get better results if you type “Fourth of July” in “the search box. If you type “Independence Day” in the search box, you will probably retrieve titles on holidays that celebrate the independence of Congo Kinshasa, Jamaica, Malaysia, etc.
