So what’s the point of having machines count the votes, if thousands of ballots still need to be “adjudicated”?

So what’s the point of having machines count the votes, if thousands of ballots still need to be “adjudicated”? Batch adjudication ensures that the "correct" winner is chosen.

If a ballot needs adjudication the wish of the voter is unknown. Thus the person actually casting the ballot is the adjudicator and thus opens the door to election fraud.
If a ballot is not done correctly it should be thrown out.
