A friend of mine worked for HHS years ago, carried out a study of noise pollution. He found that for most of the country, outside sources of noise over which the person has no control are highly stressful and can have detrimental health effects. The exception was along the Southern border, where loud noise was apparently the norm and occurred at all hours. Usually from neighbors’ radios, and people accepted it as such.

You WILL accept loud people with unpronouncable names in your library and be happy.

DREAMers are still here, by the way.
