If we treated our conquests like we did Japan after WWII we’d do much better.

I suspect that worked only because Germany and Japan were homogeneous nations. Iraq is a fake country made up of three groups that distrust and hate each other.
Iraq should have been broken up into three separate nations, much like how the Astro-Hungarian Empire was broken up after WW I. It was Bush II’s error (one of many) that he did not do that.

They simply moved the Helipad to the roof to make it easier to board. Running across the open ground exposed embassy employees to unnecessary small arms fire. This way they can be assured that the transport is fully loaded and away from the building when it comes under fire. //S//
