A vegan Florida mother was sentenced to life in prison on Monday after she was found guilty of murder in the malnutrition death of her young son. The child reportedly sadly passed away in his sleep after not being fed for a week.

Even if she fed him, a vegan diet would have killed the toddler.
Kids need protein and fat for proper physical development.

A child lacking nutrition can never make up what is lost during those early years.
Mandatory sterilization should be carried out in crimes like these and others.
I fed our son a vegetarian diet for his first two years and he had no health problems. When he decided he wanted to eat chicken, fish, and occasionally beef, as his father did, he was welcome to choose for himself. He grew up to be a champion athlete and very intelligent. We raised him to be open minded and independent. He still loves vegetarian food, but not exclusively, as I do.
I have no desire to be a vegan, but you definitely can follow a vegan diet and consume plenty of protein and fat, you just have to learn the facts.
This couple did a horrendous thing by not feeding their child enough food of any sort, and by not providing him with medical care.
My childrent ate meat, yet one of my babies had trouble gaining weight at first. I was so worried.
I don’t understand these parents. They’d already lost custody of another child due to malnutrition. Didn’t they learn their lesson then?
This sweet, innocent little boy must’ve become so malnourished that he lost his appetite. When he didn’t eat for a week, these so-called parents should’ve taken him to a doctor. Did they believe he could live on air alone?
They probably didn’t take him to a doctor because they knew they’d lose custody of him and the two other children.
a vegan diet for someone that young is a death sentence simply due to the fact that a vegan diet supplies zero B12 and an infant with such a diet has never even had a chance to accumulate a short-term liver storage of B12 ...
such a diet is literally murder ...
This couple has done a frightening thing. My heart breaks for this child who was deprived of his God-given life. Children are a gift from the Lord. They are a reward from Him.
