This is so familiar. Females in my age range (20s) in some stage of “transition” are now rather common. It’s a cult. Social conditioning. You hit adolescence, feel alienated, and now all you need to do is pick up your phone and find a cult. They never call themselves that, and most of them have no idea they’re a cult. They’re “enlightened.” They think they’ve attained a higher awareness when they’re really farther down a dark well.
I’m glad Helena wrote this. Unfortunately, the people that need to read it, won’t, and the people who don’t need to read it, will mock and dismiss it. I guess their kids got through adolescence safely, and their grandkids too.
But she’s not navel-gazing here. She’s offering hope and moral support to innumerable lost souls, to young people victimized mentally, emotionally, and spiritually.
Thank God this lamb was not lost forever.
100% correct. Also, another reason why the internet has been a net failure for the human race.
Well said.
Agreed. This is an important article. She offers an inside look at why so many young women suddenly believe they are “trans.”
Yes, it is a cult. When I was young, the news was filled with stories of cults and brainwashing.
Nowadays, young people don’t even need to leave the comfort of their homes to join a cult. They can find their “community” online, and they end up brainwashed there.
Too many on FR, that's for sure.
I agree with your wonderful post, and hope she does succeed in rising above this episode and thriving. See post 75 above.
Agreed. This was a very interesting and well written article. For our side to dismiss it, is really short sighted and sad. She’s a powerful voice on our side.
I read the entire thing and recommended it to friends. That’s why I haven’t posted here for so long... I was off reading it!
I read through the other posts here and many are what I would have said before reading this story.
My friends and I had pondered whether social media was fueling all this. Now we know.
