The principle plank of Smith's campaign was the Alberta Sovereignty Act, an Act that would protect Alberta from d'Ottawa's overreach. The proposed legislation would give the Alberta legislature the power to declare that the Province will not enforce federal law it believes encroaches on provincial jurisdiction or violates the Constitution. In essence, it would give Alberta the ability to do what is best for Albertans, rather than continue to be the 'colony' of Laurentianist Eastern Canada.
Of course, all the 'usual suspects', the socialists, federalist, etc., all attacked Smith, claiming, among other things, that she wanted Alberta to separate from Canada.
In August, outgoing Alberta Premier JUSTIN Kenney, called the plan 'nuts'. In September, the Federalist SOB called the proposed Alberta Sovereignty Act, a "full-frontal attack on the rule of law." that would make Alberta a "banana republic". Instead of keeping his piggy mouth shut, as one stepping down from office should, he attacked the policies of ONE candidate, who eventually won. Kenney is Alberta's Liz Cheney.
Of course, with JUSTIN Kenney, this is not surprising. Even years ago, when Kenney came to power, I wrote of him only running in Alberta, as a stepping stone to run for Prime Minister of Canada. As such, he did very little for AB, being only a CINO, NOT really representing AB.
In Danielle Smith, Alberta seems to have a Premier who will stand up to D'Ottawa and particularly TRUE-DOLT!
She has been savagely pursued by the woke media, but she seems to possess a clear vision of what can be done in reality.
Alberta surely cannot suffer the NDP again.
She’s not on the list of WEF leaders, so that’s a plus.
Castreaux jr. Won’t like this.
Kenney was the first premier to remove the mandates a few weeks back. This is just to cover his CINO ass due to the heavy lockdowns he organized for 2 years. People think they forgot? Then again, this idiots voted him in.
As a western separatist from BC, unless I hear something un-Kenney, then she’s just a globalist like TURDeau. Let’s see.
can we get the Florida Sovereignty Act and other states sign on?
.
A few years ago, while on vacation in Guadeloupe,we got friendly with a guy from Alberta. We got to talking about politics at one point and he observed that Alberta is Canada’s Texas. I got a laugh with that one!
