As was pointed out in another thread, the cost of heating fuel (propane/natural gas/electricity) has increased significantly, and we haven’t even gotten into the winter heating season yet. When the winter utility bills start coming that could very well push a lot of people over the financial edge. You know, the same people who are currently maxing out their credit cards to buy daily necessities such as groceries and gas.
That’s my concern. I’m in good shape now, however, if it is a really cold winter it will impact discretionary spending.
