Wait until the Tulsi FR shills wake up and see this thread. LOL

She’s spoken more clearly on the gender transition issue than 90% of elected republicans…

Tulsi knows how stupid the majority of people are.

It is important to note that Gabbard left the d’RAT party but I have yet to see anywhere that she has joined the Rs ...

Also she is an opportunist. She ran for political office as a D in a state where one can count the Rs on your hands and toes.

This article describes her very well ... an intelligent person that knows when to speak and when to not speak.

There’s a long bridge between liking her and voting for her.
Or saying, if a Democrat is going to win, I’d prefer it was Tulsi.
She’s without a doubt the most reasonable Hawaiian politician.
That doesn’t mean that much though...
It’s liking being the best wordsmith in a stroke rehab facility.

Looking more and more as a stunt to promote her new podcast.

I agree, but I wouldn’t say a stunt. She’s been true to her stated positions the whole time.
She’s buddies with Joe Rogan, and I wouldn’t be surprised if he helped talk her into starting a podcast. She knows what he’s made monetarily, and she knows how many people she can reach that way. I wouldn’t be surprised if she winds up running in 2028 or 2032.

Many similar things were said about Donald Trump. Not comparing the two, just the reactions from the “experts” here in the FR peanut gallery...

I'm not quite as cynical as you are - I just take everything I hear (and see) with a large grain of salt.

People don't have to adhere to the whole enchilada in order to be useful.

Her smack-down of Hillary was fun, and I find her interesting, and easy on the eyes - but I'm not voting for her.

Is Tucker for real? Only Tucker knows. I find his show interesting and informative, but I'm not voting for him either.

Unlike a lot of Freepers, I don't hate Nikki Haley - her mike-drop at the UN set Trump's foreign policy baseline - she was, and is useful, (but I'm not voting for her, either).

Tulsi Gabbard backed Bernie in 2016.
Abolish Capital Punishment
End cash bail reform
End Minimum Sentences
End Private Prisons
Mandate paper ballots
Bring back Glass-Steagall
Raise the federal minimum wage to $15/hour
Supports broad paid family and medical leave plans
College should be free
Expand or fix existing student debt-relief programs
Eliminate the Electoral College
Close existing nuclear power plants.
Ban assault weapons.
Favors universal gun background checks.
Limit third trimester abortions.
Rethink healthcare.
Supports negotiating for Medicare, international reference pricing for drugs and promoting generics.
Supports Medicare for all but would accept Medicare for some.
Supports citizenship for Dreamers.
Pay for infrastructure by ending wars.
Slash defense spending.
Bring our troops home.
Legalize Marijuana.
Eliminate tax breaks for offshoring.
I copied this but it’s not word for word.

I don’t view Tulsi as an evil snake to the Democrats as John McCain was to the Republicans, but rather more on the level of a Rand Paul for the left — one who speaks inconvenient truths to power.

I think she’s admirable and honorable.

But I wouldn’t vote for her without a drastic change in her core positions…

She won’t run as a Republican. She’ll run as an independent - this is all about the D’s stopping Trump.

As far as I’m concerned, this whole thing is *planned* WITH the DNC. Their policies are a disaster their platform is toxic. The have NO candidate that can win with them.

Their only option is to have somebody appear to have distance from the D’s and say moderate things, only then do they have a viable challenger to PDJT.

Take it to the bank, this is all about their only chance to win in 2024 and it is WITH collusion with the D’s.

Fuzzy logic, it’s early to make predictions, but I think your guess is the most likely right now.

Conventional wisdom says that an independent cannot win the presidency, but can only spoil one of the two parties.

But right now… If the Republicans run the wrong candidate, and the Democrats run Biden, that could leave a big enough opening for a charismatic independent to make it work, especially if the Lions share of Democrat organizations, logically abandoning Biden, support her. So, yes, I think she has a shot in 2024. And it terrifies me.

I don’t think she has a chance if every patriot fully understands how much of a socialist she is… So part of my tiny contribution to this is to the sound of the horn and remind people, whenever I can justify it.

JFD

Just as the Dems love to listen to Liz Cheney but would never vote for her, so goes Tulsi with Republicans
