When you disrupt the trauma economy and call out the not-for-profits that benefit from it, you become their next target.
Just as it has been since May of 1948, the State and status of Israel remains a hot button issue. Be careful Candace. Be cautious getting pulled into this debate just to make news.
1. They have, on average, higher IQs and therefore excel in pursuits such as the law, science, business, the arts, etc. (But then there's this other group that has, on average, lower IQs and are therefore underrepresented in these same fields, but we aren't allowed to notice that.)
2. They have a culture which emphasizes education and moral behavior which leads to greater success. (But then there are these other cultures which actively oppose education and are cynical regarding moral behavior leading to more imprisonment than success and we aren't allowed to notice that.)
3. They are more supportive of one another, and in a world where it's more about who you know than what you know this leads to greater success for all of them. (But that sort of reasoning is stereotypical and leads to accusations of nepotism and conspiracy so that is not allowed to be the answer.)
4. They are still God's Chosen People. (But we are all atheists now, and there is no god, or else God has now selected American Protestants as the new Chosen People, so that can't be it.)

I don’t read it all like that. Max B is saying that some Jewish Orgs rely on Jewish victimization as a fundraising lever (I am pro-Israel in a major way, but that’s a factual statement). They are worried those groups don’t turn on him for saying it out loud.
What is the definition of “anti-Semitic”, anyway?
Is it a bias against some shadowy oligarchy of bankers and financiers who may have a Jewish ancestry, but are practicing atheists, or is against some very religious and practicing scholars of the Torah who meet in synagogues to chant and praise their Creator, or is it the Israeli Mossad that is a high-level arm of the government of Israel, or is it the Anti-Defamation League that operates as a sort of paramilitary unit that hunts down expressions of what they consider to be “hate crimes” or “hate speech” to expose to the rest of the public?
Trying to assign identical traits to EVERY member of a minority is an exercise in futility, insofar as it may be practiced. As with all other ethnic groups, there is a very wide spectrum of behavior among the people known collectively as “Jews”, and the very bad behavior of one or a small group within that demographic is in no way a reflection on the behavior of of the great and abiding numbers of the remaining category.
Showing a dislike for a specific person of Jewish descent is in no way “anti-Semitic”, despite all the efforts put into picturing it that way. Some people are just despicable regardless of their heritage.

with all the money that flows from the zynagogues that accept the present day Israel, and how that nation has flourished on its own, i see no need to further fund it.
i do not agree with those that take a non-synagogic religious stand, demanding that we ‘must’ fund Israel, with federal funding. should those be so led, let them put their money in a convertible means and send it/ wire it electronically, what have you.

Conservatism decries showing special sensitivity to any group. Truth is truth. If statistic show blacks disproportionately commit more violent crime, or that Muslims disproportionately commit more terrorism, one shouldn't be afraid to say so.
But many conservatives have long practiced a "Jewish exception," showing greater sensitivity to issues pertaining to Jews.
This actually received official endorsement some 30 years ago when Buckley published his famous article (latter expanded into a book), "In Search of Antisemitism."
I never read the book, but I read the article. I recall one line vividly, "The Jews are sui generis."
By this Buckley meant that the traditional conservative disregard for political correctness should not apply to Jews, due to their "unique" history of persecution, which entitled Jews to greater sensitivity.
Buckley coined the term "contextual antisemitism." By this he meant a statement that wasn't hateful in itself, and would be perfectly fine if said of other groups, but would be hateful if said of Jews.
For instance (my examples; I forget Buckley's), "Blacks commit disproportionately more violent crime" is not hate, because it's true. But to say, "Jews commit disproportionately more financial crime" could be problematic even if true, because of the context of Jews unique history of persecution.
What of blacks' history of slavery, or other groups who've suffered persecution? Buckley doesn't grant exceptions to other groups. He explains why the Jews are sui generis in a long and tortuous exercise in hand-wringing that I found ultimately unconvincing.
I wonder how many young conservatives are aware of the intellectual history of this movement?
