Nothing is surprising anymore. Nothing is decent and kid-friendly anymore.
Why form a group based purely on sexuality, and mental illness? Much less parade it for everyone to be forced to discuss?

I was at the parade today- 26th year. Hadn’t missed attending the parade since 1996, except 2020 when they did not let people attend.
I was their with my best friend from college, a black girl who grew up in Brooklyn. I had to ask her what queen was since I had no idea. Told her I literally found out what non binary was a few days ago.
My friend went off, “I don’t care what they are. I don’t shove it in their face I’m heterosexual!!!”
She then went on and told me since she’s in HR she has to teach this crap and she’s sick of it.
I then asked out loud if they were going to have a heterosexual marching band next year- which received a lot of grins
